The teaser, quite literally, puts the pair in the spotlight, with their chemistry portrayed on point. Although there are hints of romance between Leonis and Riselia, they are mostly a team that fights together and protects each other.
Their story begins when the Dark Lord Leonis finds himself in the body of a 10-year-old boy in the custody of Riselia, the one who freed him.
Seeing Leonis as some taking refuge from evil creatures called Voids, Riselia decides to protect him from harm. Soon, she takes over the role of Leonis’ big sister and puts her life before her own.
Although Leonis doesn’t need much protection as he is a super-powered individual, he respects Riselia’s care and loyalty to him. The dynamic between the two soon changes when Riselia learns of Leonis’ powers and becomes his servant.
Despite all of this, assuming that Riselia is a weakling and a damsel in distress would be a big mistake on your part. She is a descendant of mighty warriors and has impressive combat skills that even Leonis recognizes.
After watching this fantastic visual teaser, I’m really excited to see Leonis and Riselia on screen. They are already notable in the novel and manga series, so the anime will naturally be even better.
Hopefully the franchise will reveal the release schedule and more information soon.
