After the children who have gone back to school, it is the turn of the Arts and Leisure center of Tinchebray (Orne) to make his comeback. If registrations have been open since Monday, September 5, 2022activities will resume in a few days, on Monday 12. Overview of the courses offered for this new season, with some novelties.
Adapt to new habits
“For 15 days, I have been receiving requests. We feel that people have rediscovered the desire to move, ”enthuses Annick Bernet, president of the association. Arts and Hobbies. With (still) a large selection ofactivitiesthe center is preparing for its 9e year. “We are happy to have been able to keep our line of conduct, that is to say to offer quality in a nice place”, she adds before continuing:
We also want to adapt and evolve, because family habits have changed.
Thus, the schedules of certain courses have been reviewed, and three new features have been added to the program:
– the gym ball pilates method, “gentle gymnastics, because the well-being sphere has become very important” on Wednesdays at 6:20 p.m.;
– the tap dancingan American tap class on Fridays at 6 p.m.: “we are the only ones to offer it in the region”;
– the yoga for kidsin order to “inculcate relaxation techniques through games and references to nature and animals”, Thursdays at 5:45 p.m.
Dance, well-being, music and art
At the same time, there is always the embarrassment of choice to find the activity that will appeal to parents, but also to children. “For dance, we hit hard with 10 different classes spread over the whole week,” smiles Annick Bernet. Among them: jazz’y leisure, Latino’s pop-dance, Irish tap dancing, dance for two, choreography workshop, and Latin dance.
On the well-being side, we do yoga and qi-gong in parallel with the gym ball which is for everyone, even seniors.
The music also occupies an important place with piano, guitar, drums and vocals. The practice of paint and drawing is also taught. “Not only offering sport, that was our wish, because it also allows us not to differentiate ourselves from other structures…” And if you want an original activity for your child: the center offers creative leisure courses… in English !
