Lenovo renews its range of ultraportable Yoga Slim PCs: ultrathin design, latest Intel, AMD and Nvidia chips, OLED screens… – CNET France


Lenovo is back in force with the 2022 vintage of its Yoga Slim ultraportable PCs, which are full of new features. The manufacturer says it has changed the design of these ultra-thin models to provide them with more ” gentle and humanizing supposed to facilitate their handling. Under the hood, we are treated to the traditional annual update, with the latest Intel Core and AMD Ryzen processors as well as GeForce RTX graphics card options from the 10, 20 and 30 series. Oled 4K and they are all Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 compatible. Lenovo highlights the presence of its AI Engine +, an artificial intelligence that promises to anticipate power or battery needs depending on use. The entire range will be available from this summer. Yoga Slim 9i: Oled and autonomy

The premium model in the Yoga Slim range features a 14-inch OLED touch screen with a 16:10 ratio at 90 Hz, mounted on a 180° hinge. It is available in 4K (3840 x 2400 pixels) or 2.8K (2880 x 1800 pixels) resolution, 100% DCI-P3 compatible, Dolby Vision, TÜV Low Blue Light certified for blue light protection. The Yoga Slim 9i is based on the Intel Evo platform and available with a Core i7-1280P (1.8 GHz, 14 cores) or a Core i5-1240P (1.7 GHz, 12 cores) with, in both cases, an Intel graphics platform Iris Xand, 16 or 32 GB LPDDR5 RAM, 512 GB or 1 TB PCIe Gen4 SSD. It receives a Full HD 1080p webcam, three USB-C ports
Thunderbolt 4 and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Lenovo announces up to 14.5 hours of autonomy for the 75 Wh battery and a fast charge which restores two hours of use in 15 minutes. The Yoga Slim 9i will be available from the end of June for a base price of €1,899.

Yoga Slim 7i Pro X and 7 Pro X: for mobile creatives

These two new references in the Yoga Slim range are aimed at creatives looking for an ultra-mobile tool equipped with dedicated Nvidia GeForce RTX graphics cards. The Slim 7i Pro X comes with 12 Core i5 and i7 processorsth generation while the 7 Pro X embeds AMD Ryzen 5, 7 or 9 chips. For the rest, the configuration is identical: 14.5 inch 3K (3072 x 1920 pixels) 16:10 touch screen with adaptive refresh up to 120 Hz, 100% sRGB, TÜV Low Blue Light and Nvidia G-Sync certified. RAM ranges from 16 to 35 GB and storage from 512 GB to 1 TB. Both models are equipped with a full HD webcam and Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 compatible.

On the graphics side, you can opt for a GeForce RTX 3050 or a GeForce GTX 1650 with 4GB of dedicated GDDR6 in both cases. It will complement an Intel Iris Xe chipset for the Slim 7i Pro X and an AMD Radeon Graphics for the Slim 7 Pro X.

Small advantage on the connection side to the Intel model which has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB-A port, an HDMI 2.0 port and a headphone / microphone jack. On the AMD version, there are two USB-C ports, two USB-A and a headphone / microphone jack. On the other hand, the autonomy announced for the 70 Wh battery which equips the two models is higher on the Slim 7 Pro X: 15.5 hours against 12.5 hours for the 7i Pro X.

The Yoga Slim 7i Pro X and 7 Pro X arrive at the end of June at base prices of €1,299 and €1,199 respectively.

Yoga Slim 7i Carbon: featherweight and strong

With 970 grams on the scale, the Yoga Slim 7i Carbon is the lightest in the range, thanks to a chassis that combines a magnesium alloy and carbon fiber, all supposed to offer great robustness. This 13-inch measures 14.8 mm at its thinnest part and it also features the latest generation Intel Core i5 or i7 chips. The 13.3 inch 90 HZ touch screen displays 2560 x 1600 pixels. Lenovo touts the presence of an edge-to-edge keyboard and an XL touchpad. You can opt for 8, 16 or 32 GB of Ram and 256, 512 GB or 1 TB of SSD. The autonomy announced for the 50 Wh battery is 13.5 hours. The Yoga Slim 7i Carbon will arrive at the end of June from €1,199.

Makeover for the Yoga Slim 7 Pro, Yoga 7 and Yoga Slim 7i Pro

Lenovo also updated the 14-inch and 16-inch Yoga Slim 7 Pro, Yoga 7 and Yoga Slim 7i Pro (14-inch and 16-inch). On the menu, Intel Core chips of 12th generation (Yoga Slim 7i Pro 14 and 16) and the latest Ryzen 5, 7 and 9 from AMD. There are also Oled screen options, GeForce RTX 2050, 3050 and MX550 graphics cards.

The 14-inch Yoga Slim 7 Pro will go on sale at the end of August from €999, while the 16-inch model arrives at the end of July from €1,499.

The two Yoga Slim 7i Pro will be launched at the end of July at €1,099 and €1,599 respectively.

The Yoga 7 is equipped with a 360° hinge that allows it to be transformed into a tablet and used with a stylus (optional). Its base price is €1,099 and it will be available from the end of June.

A new Yoga all in one 27 inch 4K rotating

We end with the Yoga AIO 7, a big update to the all-in-one desktop PC whose 27-inch 4K screen is mounted on a hinge that allows it to be rotated 90°, to adjust the height or even to tilt 5° forward and 15° back. Its base houses two 5W JBL speakers, an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H or Ryzen 5 6600H processor which can be paired with a Radeon RX 6600M graphics card, 16 or 32 GB of RAM, 256, 512 GB or 1 TB of storage. Practical, the 5 megapixel webcam is detachable in order to be able to position it ideally depending on whether the screen is in portrait or landscape orientation. The Yoga AIO 7 will be available at the end of June from €1,499.
