At the Maison pour tous in Mortagne-au-Perche, nine new activities for the start of the school year

It is one of the largest associative structures in Mortagne-au-Perche (Orne) For years. With 650 members (800 before the Covid crisis), the Maison pour tous is, along with the USM, one of the pillars of the Mortagnais associative world.

An association which was born in April 1970 and was to celebrate its 50th anniversary if it had not been slowed down by the Covid. But the 2022-2023 school year could well be the year of renewal for the association chaired by Dominique Vaux.

We thought about several formulas and in particular courses (Chi Cong, pottery, bookbinding, theater and plastic arts) which could be offered during the school holidays for young people passing through Mortagne, residents or tourists.

But the novelty this year is above all the creation of nine new activities for the start of the school year (read below). To better appreciate these activities, as well as all the others, open doors are organized on Saturday September 10 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. The first activity is free for beginners.

Search for volunteers

Dominique Vaux has an amusing anecdote to signify the problem of commitment which affects the entire associative sector: “I arrived in the association at 18 years old and I was the youngest. Today, I’m still the youngest in the office. The group is therefore looking for 3 to 4 volunteers ready to get involved in the office, in order to manage the organization of the various activities.

The association offers fun, manual activities, language courses, sports and well-being, or artistic expression. After taking out a membership, volunteers are asked to pay an annual subscription to the activity of their choice.

It should be noted that despite the general inflation, the MPT preferred to use its own funds so as not to drive up the prices of the activities.

New activities

Escape game with Anne Doyen. From 12 years old “Riddle game played as a team. Board games with Alexis Trougnou

“Cré’Art: Storytelling & character creation” with Arnaud Tassel
