Here is the dream (not very moral) that the French have most often

What do the French really dream about at night? To determine it, impossible to invite themselves into their bed. But the volumes of queries they make on Google about their dreams can turn out to be sizeable clues. This is precisely the method employed by the English firm of bedding accessories Sleepseeker, which analyzed the most typed searches in the search engine among OECD countries last year.

Dreams with snakes, very popular in the OECD

And, according to this study (to consult here in its entirety), dreams with snakes come out on top. This year, they received 1,528,380 searches on Google. A subject that one might think negative, even nightmarish, but which would have a completely different meaning.

According to oneirologist, psychoanalyst and psychotherapist Tristan Moir interviewed by C newsthe serpent symbolizes, in a dream, “the sexual energy (…) And the larger the snake, the more it evokes an important sexual drive”. Animals are definitely popular, with dogs and cats respectively coming in second and third place on the podium. Pregnancy, the ability to steal and infidelity follow them.

Cheating on your partner, the most common dream in France

But in France, the classification of the most widespread dreams is very different… It is the subject of adultery which most occupies the dreams of the French – and more precisely the fact of cheating on their partner. Infidelity is followed by the power to fly and snakes, with reptiles therefore only coming in third place in France. Cuckolding is also particularly popular in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and Turkey, where it ranks first.
