Digital attack, a scam of the “human mind”

Unlike other types of online threats, phishing does not require significant technical skills. False package or false delivery

Specifically, with regard to the fake package scam, the scammer is posing as a known company. Such as La Poste, Colissimo or Chronopost. Then it asks you to click on a link to install an alleged Chrome update for Android smartphones or enter its logins and passwords for Apple iPhones.

Indeed, for Android phones, the alert message prompts to install an update of the Chrome browser. Do not click on the link which is actually a malicious application! Once installed, this virus is able to carry out various malicious actions: sending mass SMS sometimes overcharged, stealing passwords.

Regarding Apple brand phones, the operating mode is different. The message claims that, for security reasons, it is necessary to re-enter your Apple account ID and password on an Internet page that turns out to be fraudulent. The objective of this phishing is to hack into the victim’s Apple account.
