St.Paul. IN PROGRESS Saint-Paul Gym: a very active association. The Saint-Paul Gym association held its general meeting on Wednesday 7 September. All activities resumed Tuesday, September 13 for yoga and Wednesday, September 14 for gym.

Yoga. Tuesday evening is devoted to yoga activity. Since October 2021, a session entitled Health Yoga (5 p.m. – 6 p.m.) is aimed more particularly at beginners, seniors or people whose physical abilities do not allow them to integrate the health sport gateway. From 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. and from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. there are two hatha yoga sessions, a slow, relaxed practice that listens to your body.

Gym activities. On Wednesday, time for gym activities, from 10.30 to 11.30 am, gentle gym to work the different areas of the body, by soliciting the muscles without requiring them to make violent efforts.

The Sport Health Gateway created by the association in January 2022 with the support of Limousin Sport Santé resumes its activity. It is intended to facilitate the practice of physical activity adapted to people who have risk factors, sedentary people, overweight people or people suffering from a chronic pathology for which scientific evidence imposes physical activity as a daily treatment. It is also recommended for stabilized heart, diabetics, respiratory failure.

At the entrance to the footbridge, each practitioner is welcomed and assessed by an educator trained in health sports, then reassessed with feedback to the attending physician. A free program of 15 sessions (3 months) per mixed group of 10 people on Wednesdays, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. or from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. From 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. a new “Adapted physical activity” (APA) session, also called “Health Sport”, which mainly welcomes patients who have benefited from the 15 free sessions and have become members to continue this beneficial attitude for health. And from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the fitness cardio stretching gym: muscle building, balance, coordination, this session helps you gain strength, resistance… Whatever the activity, you get two free sessions of discovery.

Joining Saint-Paul Gym also means avoiding withdrawal and sharing great moments of conviviality.
