It is this winter, in Luz-Saint-Sauveur, in the Hautes-Pyrénées, that Gwenola De Araujodirector of thePontivy Community tourist office had this idea.

“The tourist office offered a morning snowshoe hike and yoga followed by a picnic with local products. I participated in it and loved it. »

Gwenola De Araujo

It is therefore convinced that this formula could adapt to the many paths in the area and the wealth of local products, that Gwenola De Araujo returns from vacation.

Beautiful circuits accessible to all

The director of the tourist office then immediately entrusts the project to Nathan Rolland, intern and responsible for the hike. It was he who took care of finding the right hiking circuits for this formula, circuits that can befit everyone and which can allow, at the end of the hike, a place to practice the yoga and picnic. “The idea is to offer a relaxation experience accessible to all, open to families and to all levels of walking and yoga, and also to promote short circuits, with a local picnic”, indicates Nathan Rolland.

He also contacted the local producers in order to plan the packed lunches that will end the morning.

We had to contact a certified yoga teacher and it was Clemence Gambiayoga teacher and manager of the Gambie Yoga yoga and well-being center in Saint-Gérand (Morbihan), who was chosen.

The four locations have been specially chosen: on existing hiking trails, close to water and close to service providers who can offer beautiful products.

“The setting is idyllic for practicing yoga: the water soothes, rejuvenates and makes people more receptive to the practice of yoga. »

Clemence Gambia.
