Hogwarts Legacy: School of Uagadou, divination teacher… We know more about student Natsai!

This week, the official Hogwarts Legacy Hogwarts Legacy posts allow us to learn more about the 4 students who will be our companions in the game. Yesterday, we were treated to the story of the famous Sebastian Sallow and his twin sister Anne, affected by a powerful spell. This time around, it’s Gryffindor student Natsai’s turn to be the focus of the Twitter account.

Natsai Onai, our friend from Gryffindor, comes from the school of Uagadou!

Hogwarts is obviously not the only school of magic that exists in the world created by JK Rowling. If you have read the books or watched the 4th Harry Potter film, you surely remember the French school of Beauxbatons or Durmstrang, renowned for its teaching of black magic. There are others such as Ilvermorny in Canada, Castelobruxo in Brazil, Mahoutokoro in Japan, Mahoutokoro in Russia or even Uagadou in Africa. It is the latter that interests us here.

In the books, Uagadou is described as a sculpted school in the mountains and permanently hidden by the mist, so it looks like it’s floating in the air. It is located precisely in Uganda, Africa, and was founded more than 1000 years ago.

The great particularity of this school lies in the use of the magic wand: students do not necessarily need it and prefer to use their hands and fingers to wield magic! It would be very interesting to see Natsai in Hogwarts Legacy be able to cast spells without a wand.

If Natsai comes from another school and transferred directly to 5th grade, like our protagonist, one wonders where “we” come from? Were we educated elsewhere or not at all before returning to Hogwarts?

His mother is none other than the divination teacher

The faculty of Hogwarts is just as important as its students. Thus, we learn thanks to the recent tweet that Natsai’s mother is actually the divination teacher and that she was transferred to Hogwarts: this is why the student was transferred. Here is the French translation of the tweet:

“Wise, quick-witted and driven by a need for justice, Natsai grew up in Matabeleland, Africa, where she attended Uagadou, the world’s greatest school of witchcraft. She was transferred to Hogwarts when her mother became the school’s divination teacher and is adjusting to her new life in Scotland.”

As a reminder, we have already seen Natsai several times in the trailers and images of the game. It is our Gryffindor companion with whom we can carry out an optional quest: probably the one where we have to save thehippogriff poachers. From now on, if we follow the logic, we should have the Hufflepuff student sheet tomorrow evening and maybe finally find out who the Ravenclaw companion is this Friday!
