Sarthe: start of the “marathon” of performances at the Citadel of Angels

Teloché (south Sarthe); at the Citadel of Angels, Isabelle Cany and Sylvain Michouxactive all year round on the site, were more than ever in the starting blocks a few days before the launch of the summer show.

To know CO2 My Lovewhich some have already seen, except that the show has been reconfigured in large widths.

“We have always played it in the daytime version, part of it will now be at night, we are really in the atmosphere of sound and light, with a predominant theatrical side” presents the couple.

Three quarters of the scenes are new, the remaining quarter has been restructured in terms of staging.

Seven artists

“There is a burlesque angle, with influences à la Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin, Monty Pithon even from Funesa universe that also evokes comics, even slightly manga” specifies Sylvain Michoux.

Everything is silent, the musical creation is signed Christopher Ongaro. The public will find 7 artists on stage, 5 characters and 2 muppets, a novelty, just like the giant imagery put in place.

“We play a lot with the public, the outdoor theater is part of the scenic elements”.

Description of the story

“An unlikely ship lands on planet Earth with somewhat oxygenated characters.

They are strange, very curious, wacky, earthy and anxious to solve a capital mission: to capture CO2 on Earth.

A disconcerting spectacle in the spirit of English musical comedies where the language of our characters will seem unusual and baroque. A playful, joyful, sarcastic comedy to live a story of meaning and beautiful truths, punctuated with giant subliminal, stunning and preposterous images! »

time to smile

After two years made very painful due to the health crisis, as it is underlined on a passage of the program, “It is high time to smile”, finally without health restrictions or gauges

But playing 27 days in a row is “a first and a real technical, physical and mental challenge” does not hide Sylvain Michoux.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to discover the brand new domewhich should take office at the end of the year, hosting a cultural program, “which could range from a Molière to a photo exhibition, and why not the retransmission of a match, we don’t put up any barriers, that’s part of the place’s DNA”, but also private events, companies, weddings, birthdays, etc.
