“It’s like a foreign language. Learn to read maps

», Explain Patrick Sardais, numerologist and tarologist, invited to the Dieppe Clairvoyance Weekend, which takes place from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 November 2022 at the Dieppe casino. This foreign language is the Tarot de Marseille, which he teaches in parallel.

Unlike clairvoyance, which would require a gift, become a tarologist or numerologist only asks for work. “But we also put our intuition into it, a bit of feeling. » It is about learning to interpret, to translate the juxtaposition of maps and symbols.

With social networks

Formerly a salesman, Patrick Sardais opened his practice in 2015, in Saint-Nazaire: “From that moment, the activity worked. » Aged 60 today, the numerologist and tarologist immediately bet on social networks to make himself known and exchange with his customers: “I worked with YouTube, TikTok. »

This modernity of communication tools coincides with the revival of professions in the divinatory arts: “Learning tarot, astrology, dusts off those professions that were in the crystal ball…” He even defines numerology as “the science of the number of planets”. As for the Tarot de Marseille, it would be “the art of understanding and interpreting maps. »

“Help move forward”

The sexagenarian takes care not to maintain any confusion between his profession and the work of psychotherapist. However, a common intention emerges: “We come to help people move forward on their journey. They want to find a solution to a problem when they come to see us”, emphasizes Patrick Sardais. But he denies everything risk of influence
: “People still have free will. I insist on that. Moreover, the INAD (National Institute of Divinatory Arts, Editor’s note) has a code of ethics to avoid abuses. »

The numerologist did not have the revelation at 50: “I have always been attracted. I had a grandfather who was a bonesetter. It intrigued me. I dove into numerology about twenty years ago. I had discovered it through a book, The ABC of Numerology. I learned numerology with Jean-Daniel Fermier. And I learned the Tarot de Marseille with Philippe Camoin. » For the uninitiated, there are two clutches in each of the disciplines.
