Seven people, including the young Camille, therefore tested for the first time a party of laughter in a group.

Laughter allows you to reprogram your brain when it is in the negative. There is no difference between forced and natural laughter but you have to laugh at least 15 minutes a day. “Even smiling helps release hormones of stress and happiness,” insists Virginie Rivat.

In India, students have to laugh for 10 minutes in class.

Why is laughter good for health?

It improves communication with oneself and others but also memory, intellect, digestion, nervous system, energy, pain and the cardio muscular system. It would have an effective power on breathing, the neuro-hormonal system, sleep, the immune system, self-confidence, emotion. In short, it can only do good.

Virginie, a teacher who wants to transmit laughter

A resident of Neufchâtel-en-Bray, Virginie has been a laughter yoga facilitator since 2018. “I took training to teach this practice,” she explains. And to continue: “But I have always been a facilitator in nursing homes. In particular dance in a seated position in Forges-les-Eaux. Before the Covid, I wanted to extend my activity in the Pays de Bray”.
Virginie wants “to make the elderly dance and make them laugh”, she confides. She would also like to “intervene also in companies or with families. Everyone needs to laugh because it’s a stress reliever,” she says with a smile.

Among the participants in this new experience, the reactions are unanimous. “We are washed, drained and at the same time relaxed” explains one of them.

Laughter yoga is interesting to discover even if sometimes we are in weird positions.
