Sread the scriptures
Romans 4.3
Have you ever had your bank account debited? Me, yes, and I must admit that it is not at all pleasant, even scary!
We all want to have an account in credit. Largely even, with reservations in case of a hard blow! Likewise, with God, we all aspire to be creditors, that is to say, just before him!
Of course, we were debtors. This is why Jesus took our faults on the cross. However, our verse for the day seems to indicate that we do not remain in a position of neutrality: “God carried his faith (that of Abraham) to his credit and declared him just.”
What does this passage mean? It is one of the most important in the Bible, and it can bring you security in your soul permanently if you understand it well.
Alfred Kuen comments on it thus:God credited his faith“is a legal and financial vocabulary term meaning that Abraham’s act of faith was credited as if he had lived righteously before God. The believer, who has no righteous life to present to God, is given by pure grace the righteousness of Jesus Christ.
What incredible news! And it’s not over :
Now, if Scripture notes that his faith was credited to him, it is not only in connection with Abraham that it does so, it is also for our instruction; for we also will be accepted by God and declared righteous, if we put our trust in him who raised our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead.
Elisten to the voice of God
Perhaps you have already felt these anxieties regarding your bank account. What about your celestial account? Seek to listen to whatever God wants to tell you about it.
Praying is simple. Speak to God as you would your closest friend. Here is an example of a prayer: “Lord, I declare today that I believe in the cross, I want to put all my trust in your precious Son, Jesus Christ. Thank you for your infinite grace, my God. Yes, all is accomplished and my celestial account is eternally filled. Never again will I be in debt. Amen !”
Lpray to god
God is infinitely good and he grants you his grace, what an immense privilege, when you absolutely do not deserve it! So, where you are, begin to praise him and, with a humble and grateful heart, offer him all your adoration!
HASact today
Today, decide to renew your trust in God and walk hand in hand with the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Your celestial account is well stocked: what joy, what immense peace! So walk by faith until the day of your reunion with the Lord Jesus Christ.
Hworship the Lord
Our journey for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.
“Thank you, Lord, for all you accomplished on the cross. I want to place all my trust in you. Thine be the kingdom, the power and the glory, amen !”
