Since 1995, Alanis Morissette is one of the most influential singer-songwriter-musicians in contemporary music. His music and deeply expressive performances have earned him widespread critical acclaim and seven Grammy Awards. The first album ofAlanis in 1995, Jagged Little Pill, was followed by nine more eclectic and acclaimed albums. She has contributed musically to theater productions and performed on the big and small screen. Outside of performing, she is a strong supporter of female empowerment, as well as spiritual, psychological and physical well-being. In 2001, Alanis received the Global Tolerance Award from Friends of the United Nations for his contribution to the promotion of tolerance through the arts.
In 2016, Alanis launched Conversation with Alanis Morissette, a monthly podcast that features conversations with various revered authors, doctors, educators, and therapists, covering a wide range of psychosocial topics ranging from spirituality to developmentalism to art. On December 5, 2019, the musical “Jagged Little Pill made its Broadway debut at the Broadhurst Theater in New York. The show was nominated for fifteen Tony Awards and won 2 Tony Awards at the 2021 ceremony. In July 2020, Alanis released her ninth studio album, Such Pretty Forks In The Road, which received rave reviews. In August 2021Alanis kicked off their sold-out world tour to celebrate 25 years of Jagged Little Pill. This tour became the first female tour of 2021 and one of the best world tours of 2021, with over 500,000 tickets sold. Alanis also stars in the Fox sitcom, The Great Northwhich will return for Season 3 in 2022.
