“Very high-level concerts”, promise the organizers of the Musical weeks of Quimper. The 43e titled edition American nights takes place from August 18 to 21, 2022.
A festival “accessible to all”
Historically rooted in classical music, the festival now extends to jazz, cabaret, gospel,… With a desire to be “accessible to all and not only to insiders”, according to Thomas Besse.
President of the Musical Weeks since April 2022, he claims a festival “on a human scale”.
How ? “Out of the classic framework”, responds Bernard Kalonndeputy mayor in charge of culture.

And that’s not all ! Every morning, the curious can be tempted by theZen space with the artist Sylvain Thomas. “The sound massages invite tranquility thanks to instruments dedicated to meditation”, develops Thomas Besse.

On the other hand, on the occasion of the festival, the artem gallery will exhibit the creations of the comic book illustrator Pierre Malma. It was he who imagined the graphic universe of the event.
