Our best places to get away for a weekend in Genappe

An eco-responsible hotel, an Ashatanga Yoga class and a homemade brunch… Just 30 minutes from Brussels, discover the small town of Genappe, for a romantic or family weekend.

Where do we stay?

In the heart of the village of Loupoigne in Genappe, Indrani Lodge is revealed. Whether you need to relax, recharge your batteries or simply reconnect for a weekend, this medieval farmhouse, renovated into an ecological hotel, is likely to seduce you. From meals, prepared by chef Sebath Capela, to yoga classes and a dip in the carbon-free heated pool, this lodge has it all.

And more. Here, the owners use a good part of the 4 Hectares of the land to offer the ingredients for the kitchen of their own restaurant. From the herbs to the orchard, through the fruit trees, everything has been thought out in an ecological way. And what they don’t produce, they get from local suppliers.

The Indrani Lodge has 12 rooms, of 5 different categories. Our favorite ? Bedroom Poplar with a Scandinavian design, which can be booked with the Coquelicot room to form a family suite.

Where do we eat?

Do you dream of a homemade brunch? See you at Miss Olson. On the menu, succulent sweet and savory quiches, chocolate marshmallow pancakes and salted butter caramel French toast. A truly exceptional brunch to be enjoyed around a large table. Like being in a small country cottage. Something to delight you.

What do we do ?

Ceramic workshops, pilates classes, sound journey, yoga for children or well-being massage, Indrani Lodge offers a series of activities. Focus on the Yoga Asthanga class. In a bright room, thanks to its large bay window, Elise, Ashtanga Yoga teacher first explains the course: Ashtanga Yoga is a style of Yoga from Mysore in India and which arrived in the West by the students of Sri Pattabhi Jois., Ashtanga Yoga offers a sequence of identical postures practicing in precise order. This Yoga dynamic and physically intensive synchronizes breath and movement and produces purifying internal heat. While respecting the level and form of each, she shows the postures to adopt, corrects here and there, gently. A course during which everyone can reclaim their body space, feel their emotional state and develop their self-confidence.

If you are staying with your tribe, put on your rubber boots to jump in the slush and feed all the little residents (goats, sheep, horses, rabbits and poultry) of Marie and Herman’s farm, the former barnyard of the Bousval Castle.

Something to recharge your batteries for a weekend.
