Crunchyroll Unveils ‘Jobless Reincarnation’ S2 Trailer

Rudeus got a second chance at life when truck-kun isekai-d knocked him out of the human world and sparked the events of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation.

The Season 1 finale made our hero realize that being a magically gifted kid isn’t always going to help if he’s still stuck in his past life and scared of it. Rudeus decides to embark on another journey and find his missing mother, Zenith, to make up for his mistakes and not waste the opportunity given to him.

If you thought the finale was a little dark, wait until you see the latest trailer for the Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation season 2 anime from Crunchyroll. The second season of the anime is expected to release in 2023.

Giving us snowfall, withered trees, and dead flowers, the trailer sets the dark and drab premise of the upcoming season. Rudeus is shown to be the one who travels through the forest and can barely walk without the support of his staff.

The atmosphere suddenly changes when the video shows people having fun in a pub, followed by lots of hair-raising action.

Season 2 will be about Rudeus making new friends at Ranoa University of Magic, previewed in the trailer. New characters making their academy student debut are Linia Dedoldia, Pursena Adoldia, Cliff Grimoire, and Elinalise Dragonroad.

Rudeus will also have fateful encounters with Zanoba, someone connected to his previous life in the human world. Without forgetting, as teased at the end of season 1, Rudeus will finally find Sylphiette.

The other half of the trailer is a bit emotional as Rudeus motivates himself to keep moving forward and he has plenty of reasons to do so.

The upcoming season is a refreshing change from the gags and ecchi comedy the show usually has. This one will have more action and will be about more important things than being a hero.

I can’t wait to see how the whole magical arc of college intensifies.
