The most complete verse of the Holy Quran

لَيْسَ الْبِرَّ أَنْ تُوَلُّوا وُجُوهَكُمْ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ وَلَكِنَّ الْبِرَّ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالْكِتَابِ وَالنَّبِيِّينَ وَآتَى الْمَالَ عَلَى حُبِّهِ ذَوِي الْقُرْبَى وَالْيَتَامَى وَالْمَسَاكِينَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيلِ وَالسَّائِلِينَ وَفِي الرِّقَابِ وَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَى الزَّكَاةَ وَالْمُوفُونَ بِعَهْدِهِمْ إِذَا عَاهَدُوا وَالصَّابِرِينَ فِي الْبَأْسَاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ وَحِينَ الْبَأْسِ أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُتَّقُونَ

Godly kindness does not consist in turning your faces towards the East or the West. But pious kindness is to believe in Allah, the Last Day, the Angels, the Book and the Prophets, to give of one’s property, despite one’s attachment, to relatives, orphans, the needy, indigent travelers and those who ask aid and to loosen yokes, to perform Salat and pay Zakat. And those who fulfill their commitments when they are committed, those who are enduring in misery, disease and when fighting rages, here they are the truthful and here they are the truly pious!

It was narrated from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he said, “Whoever follows this verse, will have complete faith”.

In the field of faith, this verse refers to faith in God, angels, prophets, resurrection and holy books, in the field of action, it refers to religious matters such as prayer, economic rules, zakat, social issues such as the liberation of slaves and military issues such as resistance to the front, and in the moral field it refers to keeping promises, renouncing material ties and helping the needy .

Faith in God contributes to submission to the truth, faith in the resurrection is the origin of the breadth of vision and the height of courage, belief in the existence of angels is a sign of faith in the invisible world, and faith in prophets and revelation throughout history, is the assurance that man has not been abandoned in this world.

Almsgiving shows the spirit of cooperation and selflessness that exists in society, prayer is a direct link with God, zakat helps plan and act to solve the problems of the needy, keeping promises strengthens relationships and patience contributes to human development.

Patience is the mother of all perfections and according to the Quran, patience is the way to heaven and elevates the position of believers. The angels greet the people of paradise and the divine leaders, and God says:

« جَعَلْنا مِنْهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنا لَمَّا صَبَرُوا »

“And We appointed from among them rulers who would guide (the people) by Our command as long as they endured and firmly believed in Our verses” (Quran 32:24)

Another way to attain the perfection of piety is charity, which comes in two forms, obligatory and non-obligatory, and both are necessary.

The Tafsir Noor specifies that one of the duties of the prophets and the holy books is to change people’s mentality and that faith precedes action.
