Through Michael Moriceau
Native of Pontoise, Morgane Leygue-Nicolas, 33 years old, has worked in the organization of concerts for several years, and she has also traveled a lot. “I’ve been around quite a bit,” she says, smiling.
Seven years ago, she turned to yoga. “At first, I took lessons for my personal practice, to feel better about myself. Yoga allows you to stay zen whatever the situation, with physical, psychological and emotional benefits, explains Morgane.
During the confinement in 2020, when I lived in Luxembourg, I wanted to deepen my knowledge a little more. For a year, I followed a training in total immersion at the Ashram de Yoga Sivananda.
On two levels
Back from South America in July 2022, the yoga teacher decides to put her bags down in La Ferté-Macé where her father has lived for several years.
“In November, I offered an internship at the Heart Center which worked very well. But I wanted to have a place of my own to teach, to offer regular workshops every week”.
La Fertoise d’adoption therefore went in search of premises in the area. “In December, I came across this space of 70 m2 on two levels in Bagnoles, avenue du Docteur Poulain, opposite the Renaissance terrace. I am renting and the owner has redone the paintings”.
An ideal place in the heart of the spa resort which aims to be a well-being destination.
On the first level, there is a practice area for group classes and a small boutique & relaxation area (yoga items, incense, Ayurvedic products such as oils, herbal teas, soaps). “On the lower level, I have created an intimate space for individual sound therapy treatments. In short, a real place dedicated to relaxation and inner well-being” sums up Morgane.
Monday. 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: gentle yoga (for beginners and/or seniors). 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.: intermediate yoga (for people who have already practiced yoga and want a more dynamic session). 8 p.m. – 9 p.m.: bhakti yoga (mantras, meditation, songs and Indian music).
Tuesday. 8 a.m. – 9 a.m.: full morning practice (a bit of yoga, breathing, meditation for a gentle start to the day – all levels combined). 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.: intermediate yoga.
Wednesday. 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: gentle yoga. 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.: parent/child yoga (fun yoga for children from 7 years old, parents are welcome depending on the number of places available). 8 p.m. – 9 p.m.: sound journey (deep relaxation session guided by the sounds of various instruments: crystal bowl, tuning forks, gong, etc.).
Thursday. 8 a.m. – 9 a.m.: full morning practice. 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: gentle yoga. 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.: intermediate yoga.
For each proposed session, registration will be required no later than 24 hours before, by telephone or email, “waiting to perhaps have a platform for booking lessons. I’m thinking about it.” Outside of group lesson times, the room will remain open “to allow you to take advantage of the shop and relaxation area and to book private lessons and individual treatments, specifies Morgane. This schedule is valid until February 15. It will evolve according to the development of the studio’s activity”.
In parallel with her self-employed activity and her studio Padma (lotus flower), Morgane is also in the process of creating an association called Padma.
“It will allow me to involve other well-being professionals, to offer one-off workshops on certain weekends or during school holidays”.
The Padma studio will also be a place of art (exhibition of a few works) of conviviality and sharing. “I invite people to stop for a moment to read or meditate, drink an infusion and take advantage of a refreshing break” concludes Morgane.
