The Bar-Brasserie located Quai Ste-Marie in Chalon-sur-Saône will blow out its first candle in February. For the occasion Cathy Cardoso, its happy owner, will be offering a very dense schedule of themed evenings and events not to be missed.

The welcome is very warm and the cuisine excellent thanks to Chef Aurel who takes care of the stoves of this Bar-Brasserie which has the specificity of offering monthly themed evenings or workshops around art (hence its name, contraction of TOQUE and ART) and well-being. If the central activity of this very friendly place remains the lunchtime restaurant, it is quite possible to meet there for a coffee, an aperitif, for a snack on Wednesday afternoon or for a brunch on its terrace ideally located when the fine weather returned. What also characterizes TOQU’ART is a rich program offered each month in these premises since the Bar-Brasserie also has a room in the basement, a cellar fully fitted out to accommodate activities and it is possible to privatize. In 1 year, many proposals have already taken place on a regular basis to the delight of customers: meditative Yoga or Vinyasa with Cora Yoga, philosophy evenings, relational approach and poetry under the aegis of Krystel Gasne, signing sessions, interventions by wellness therapists, concerts…

In order to celebrate this 1st anniversary with dignity, Cathy Cardoso has concocted a very attractive program for you:

February 3: Aperitif Tattoo Art with Oxana Tattoo from 6 p.m. to midnight. During this event, the establishment will offer homemade bruschetta with honey goat cheese.

February 7: Meditative Yoga with Cora Yoga (Full).

February 8to get the holidays off to a good start, an activity aimed at 6-8 year olds is offered by Fabienne Giroud, specialist educator: Laughter yoga, creation of a confidant doll, visualization board, snack (homemade pancakes and fruit juice). 10 places are available and the price of the activity, all inclusive, is 30 euros.

On February 11, a ‘Positive Thinking’ workshop will be moderated by Chantal Malay. Book quickly as only 10 places are available.

On February 14, place on the Valentine’s Day menu! At the price of 38 euros, it will include: a glass of crémant or a cocktail (your choice), appetizers, lobster lobster or butcher’s piece (your choice), dessert (chocolate fondant heart) and a coffee or tea (optional). For this exceptional evening, two heated bubbles will be arranged on the terrace by ‘La Bricole de LeenC’ for a privileged moment with your other half. Meals or bubble slots must be reserved.

February 16, Seated Massage dressed on an ergonomic chair with Valérie Pillot (10 minutes, 7 euros). Before or after your lunch, treat yourself to a moment of relaxation!

February 18, TOQU’ART anniversary evening with the group Second Shot which will offer pop-rock and electro acoustic music from 8 p.m.

February 20, in the afternoon, it’s a new positive thinking workshop with Chantal Malay.

February 25, Flory Grenard will host a conscious movement workshop (complete)

February 28to end this anniversary month in style, Krystel Cotelle will host her 4th evening ‘Philo and relational approach‘, at 7 p.m., meal reservation recommended.

We can’t resist the urge to reveal some thematic evenings that will take place in March:

On March 10, cabaret evening ‘The double life of Annie’, Catherine Weissmann and Gilbert Drigon pay tribute to Annie Cordy.

March 31Cathy Cardoso invited Sandrine Dovergne, manager of the Laluolle estate in Moroges for a meeting-signing session around his book ‘Les vins et les autres’, illustrated by Bertrand Mac Gaw followed by a wine tasting accompanied by homemade gougères and appetizers.

…and a ‘Spring of poets’, at the end of March is in the making.
