FOCUS – The cultural and sporting summer season begins at the beginning of July in Grenoble. Water games, mountain biking, climbing, yoga, outdoor cinema… Overview of the activities and entertainment offered until the end of August 2022 in the parks and neighborhoods.

Not all Grenoble residents will go on vacation this summer, far from it. All the more reason for the municipality to organize cultural and sporting events to punctuate the summer period in the capital of the Alps. Outdoor cinema, water games, mountain biking, climbing, circus, yoga, dance, participatory workshops… The proposals are varied within the framework of Summer oh! Park in Grenoble.

And, this summer again, most of it will take place in the parks. More particularly in the Paul-Mistral park, which will host a series of free leisure activities from Saturday July 9 to Sunday August 28, 2022. The Jean-Verlhac and Bachelard parks will open to festivities every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday in July, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Summer oh! park: a sporty summer in the neighborhoods but also around Grenoble

At the Charles-Munch stadium and gymnasium, activity mornings will also be offered every Wednesday morning in July. In particular to children and adolescents coming from socio-cultural structures, local sports clubs, the CCAS and structures for monitoring and welcoming the public furthest from sports practice. Everyone can also do aquasport in the Jean-Bron and Dauphins swimming pools.

The youngest will be able to discover the natural sites around Grenoble through two five-day courses scheduled in July and August (registration fee depending on the family quotient). For more information, a family platform is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on 04 76 76 38 38.

Adults and seniors will not be left out, with sports workshops offered free of charge in the Jean-Verlhac (Wednesdays), Bachelard (Thursdays) and Paul-Mistral (Fridays) parks from 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Registration to be provided at the house of the inhabitants and on site.

The Cabaret struck to meet in music

Among the headliners (non-exhaustive list) : the duo Terrenoire, “male revelation” at the Victoires de la Musique (July 18 at 10:30 p.m.) or Aloïse Sauvage (July 19 at 10:30 p.m.).

On the local scene, let’s mention Bobato, LMZG, Anita Dongilli or Aamiral. But also the SGO, born within the Crous Grenoble Alpes. The band will play with Jaoa Selva on July 15 at 8:15 p.m.

Another highlight of the hit Cabaret: Divercities. Amateur artists from Germany, Austria, Lithuania, Palestine, Burkina Faso, Tunisia, the United States, Armenia, Moldova and, finally… Grenoble will meet from July 7 to 14, 2022 at la Bobine to prepare a unique concert. The latter, free, will take place on Saturday July 16 from 9:30 p.m.

This summer, the City resumes temporary pedestrianization. On the four Saturdays in July, the platforms will be closed to traffic from 11 a.m. to midnight. Concerts will take place, as well as fun and sporting events.
