PARIS, August 10, 2022 – SQUARE ENIX® has announced that a free demo of The DioField Chronicle™ is available on PlayStation®5 (PS5™) PlayStation®4 (PS4™), Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch™ and PC via Steam ®. Players can now experience this brand new strategy RPG that will immerse them in an epic blend of war and honor. All progress made in the demo, including save data, game progress, and character levels, will be transferable to the full game when it launches on September 22.
This free demo of The DioField Chronicle is now available for download on all platforms. The demo begins when the island of DioField finds itself plunged into a period of turmoil caused by the rise of warring factions and the rise of modern magic. Players can explore the game until the end of the first chapter of the campaign and take part in action-packed strategic combat in command of a squad composed of different types of units; each with a specific role on the battlefield. Players will be able to discover the beginning of the adventure in the company of the Blue Foxes, strategize and experience a brand new real-time strategic combat system called “Real Time Tactical Battle” (RTTB).
The DioField Chronicle is driven by a dark and immersive storyline created by a talented development team. Original characters were designed by Taiki (Lord of Vermilion III, IV), concept art is by Isamu Kamikokuryo (FINAL FANTASY XII, FINAL FANTASY XIII), and the music is beautifully orchestrated by composers Ramin Djawadi and Brandon Campbell, known worldwide for their work on Game of Thrones.
Pre-orders are open on PS5™, PS4™, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch™, and PC on Steam®. A Collector’s Edition is also available for pre-order, in limited quantities, exclusively on the SQUARE ENIX store. The DioField Chronicle is set in a beautiful original world where fantasy, medieval and modern elements collide. Under the rule of the Shaytham dynasty, the Kingdom of Alletain enjoyed two centuries of peace on the island of DioField. Suddenly, he is catapulted into a time of uncertainty by the rise of warlike powers and modern magic. The Kingdom of Alletain is teeming with jade, a mineral prized for its role as a basic ingredient for magic and sorcery, and the Empire and Alliance inevitably turn their gaze to the island.
