Our selection of the most anticipated series in 2023

If 2023 will be a good year for moviegoers, series fans should find their accounts there. Streaming platforms have some nice surprises in store for us. Whether you’re waiting for the sequel to your favorite series or can’t wait to discover something new, you’ll love 2023. We’ve selected the 16 series we’re looking forward to. The least we can say is that science fiction is in the spotlight in 2023.

The Last of Us

2023 is off to a flying start with The Last of Us. If we can easily consider it the most anticipated series of 2023, we have good news: it is coming out soon. So we won’t have too long to wait this year. The problem ? The adaptation of the famous eponymous video game saga does not yet have a distribution platform in France… Which should delay its arrival on our screens. It will be available from January 15 across the Atlantic.

The Last of Us takes us to meet Joel and Ellie on their journey across the United States with one rule: to survive in this post-apocalyptic world.

Gen V

While season 3 of The Boys strongly punctuated our year 2022, its spin-off Gen V should take over in 2023. This new series will focus on the young recruits of Vought America and we are looking forward to it. Unfortunately, we don’t have an official date yet. But the first episodes of Gen V will be available on Prime Video.

The Mandalorian – Season 3

Disney has not yet wanted to reveal the pot of roses but one thing is certain: we will soon find our favorite Mandalorian and Grogu. Season 3 of The Mandalorian soon hits our screens. Very quickly, the series has established itself as a must-have on Disney+ and the wait for this new batch of episodes is starting to get long. The trailer for season 3 of The Mandalorian confirms the reunion of our favorite heroes, and that’s it.

That ’90s Show

Welcome back to Point Place. If you loved That ’70s Show at the time, we were convinced that That ’90s Show will please you. The majority of the actors from the initial sitcom are back for that dip in the 90s. Here we find Eric and Donna’s daughter as she visits her grandparents for the summer. The perfect opportunity to meet the new generation of Point Place. The spin-off is to be discovered from January 19 on Netflix.

fallout

Prime Video has been working on it for a while fallout. 2023 seems to be the year of video game adaptations. From what little we have seen so far, this series should be faithful to the saga from which it is based. Bad news: the series should not take long to point the tip of its nose but we do not have an official date yet. Hoping that Amazon decides to tell us more very soon.

Ahsoka

Among the series Star Wars that we will find again this year, we must not forget Ahsoka. Rosario Dawson will play the essential character found in The Clone Wars. In this spin-off, we are in the aftermath of the fall of the Empire. The ex-Jedi then investigates a strange threat… Which could have serious consequences for the galaxy.

Vikings: Valhalla – Season 2

After the resounding success of vikingsNetflix was quick to offer fans a spin-off. Vikings: Valhalla is already back on January 8 with a second burst of episodes. A century after the events of the initial series, we set out to meet the most famous Vikings in history, such as William the Conqueror and Leif Erikson.

Lupine – Part 3

Without having an official release date, everything leads us to imagine that our favorite gentleman burglar will be back this year on Netflix. Part 3 of Lupine shouldn’t take long to land on the platform and that makes us happy. The last episodes of the series with Omar Sy left us with a multitude of questions and we are in a hurry to see in what circumstances we will find Assane Diop.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch

The Bad Batch squad is back for a new season on Disney+. Star Wars: The Bad Batch invites us to follow the elite troop made up of experimental clones and they have work to do! A commando mission will take them into unknown territory… See you now on Disney+.

Hunters – Season 2

At the end of the 1970s, the Nazis tried to get back on their feet by establishing a Fourth Reich… But Nazi hunters were determined to stop them. Al Pacino and Logan Lerman return in the second and final season of Hunters. It is to be devoured from the January 13 on Prime Video.

The Witcher – Season 3

Witchcraft lovers will be delighted to know that our dear Geralt of Rivia will be back this summer. If we recently learned that Henry Cavill will leave his witcher costume soon, we can always console ourselves with this final season of The Witcher by his side. Looking forward to our reunion with Geralt, Ciri and Yennefer on Netflix.

Agatha: Coven of Chaos

Following a thunderous arrival in Wanda Vision, the terrible witch Agatha Harkness will be entitled to her own series this year on Disney+. After sowing discord in the perfect life of Wanda Maximoff, Agatha was neutralized… But for how long? Surely Disney and Marvel will tell us more about this highly anticipated 2023 series soon.

The Continental

While John Wick 4 is embedded in our dark rooms from the March 22its spin-off series should mark the occasion of this cinema release. The Continental should conquer the hearts of lovers of the universe of John Wick. Direction 1975, at the origin of a centerpiece of the saga: the hotel for assassins, The Continental. Through the eyes of Winston Scott, we embark on the streets of New York and the winding corridors of this dangerous hotel.

You – Season 4

Joe Goldberg is back. It will bleed. Netflix’s favorite killer leaves the United States for England where he hopes to start a whole new life. But as they say, hunt the natural, it comes back at a gallop. This season 4 of You is divided into two parts. The first is to be discovered from the February 9 while the sequel will be released on March 2.

Secret Invasion

In Secret Invasion, Nick Furry is finally back. After a long radio silence since Avengers: Endgamewe heard from him at the very end of Spider-Man: Far From Home. He was stuck in a spaceship while a Skrull took on his appearance on Earth. Which is never a good sign.

Alien

If the series Alien based on Ridley Scott’s franchise is not much talked about, yet it is beautiful and well planned for this year. It’s just a matter of crossing our fingers for the series’ director and showrunner, Noah Hawley (Fargo) agree to tell us more quickly. Very quickly.
