These campaigns were allegedly carried out to discredit personalities, journalists and even team players.
Among the targets targeted by these “trolls” we find, according to the report, “media deemed hostile to PSG such as Mediapart and L’Équipe, the supporter slapped by Neymar (after the defeat of PSG in the final of the Coupe de France 2019, editor’s note), the girl who accused the Brazilian star of rape, but also club personalities such as player Adrien Rabiot and former sporting director Antero Henrique”.

Kylian Mbappe would also be among the targets. He would have been targeted in particular after his remarks during the UNFP trophy presentation in 2019 during which the French striker had hinted at a possible departure from the capital. “I feel that it is perhaps the time to have more responsibilities. I hope it may be at PSG, it would be with great pleasure. Or maybe it will be somewhere else”, said the player. In response, an attack was launched on social networks through a large Twitter account with nearly 10,000 subscribers (@PanameSquad). “The Parisian supporters love you very much, you know that… Did you get your “message” across tonight, and what timing!? If you could press like that on the pitch…”had thus written the account.
But as Mediapart reports, the most violent attacks targeted the former PSG player Adrien Rabiot, and his mother Véronique (who is also his agent), when the French international came into conflict with the club over the terms of his departure. “Several ‘digital army’ accounts call him a ‘fat FDP’“dirty traitor”, or “child of p*****””reports the online media, which also quotes a tweet from an account titled Lana PSG: “He doesn’t have the balls to free his mother who dictates everything to him and sends his career into the wall”.
PSG deny the accusations
Contacted by AFP, Paris-Saint-Germain denial “firmly Mediapart’s allegations”. “PSG is an international brand that works continuously with social media agencies around the world to promote and celebrate the achievements of the club, its employees and its partners, like all companies. The club has never contracted with an agency to harm anyone.”added the Parisian club.
But for its part, the agency in question, Digital Big Brother, registered in Barcelona, assured Mediapart that it acted well on behalf of PSG.
