In Brittany, the owner of a castle decided “to recreate a Breton school of magic inspired by the world of Harry Potter”he explains to Telegram. Manuel Roussel, the owner of Château Le Rocher Portail could grant your wish (or that of your children) as soon as the start of the school year begins. The owner of the building had the idea of ​​opening a school of witchcraft inspired by the fantastic saga to millions of readers. He tells the Telegram :

“In the castle, we had a huge room that really looked like the big common room of Hogwarts, with almost the same dimensions as the original. From there, we had the idea of ​​recreating a Breton school of magic inspired by the world of Harry Potter”.

4 houses inspired by the history of the castle

For rights issues, Manuel Roussel could not borrow the names ofHarry Potter in this vast project. To create his universe, the man then immersed himself in the history of the castle, built at the beginning of the 17th century and which he has owned since 2016.

“The castle notably hosted a college during the Second World War, we were able to trace all this thanks to an incredible collection of documents that have been preserved”he explains to the Breton newspaper. “Based on existing material, my wife transcribed the story of Rocher Portail by linking it to the world of witchcraft. We will therefore have four houses based on the real families who lived in this castle: Fauvedor, Cerfdelune, Busarde and Boucfleche. »

To anchor their universe in reality, the couple also gave life to several characters (the director Ludovica Lutterotti, the professor of botany Lady Pommecreuse and the professor of history of magic Timéon Ruellan, the guardian of the school Hernote Sub, potion teacher Garance Brunfeu). He also invested in special effects and other surprises. Everything will be accessible to the general public during the All Saints holidays.

2 possible tour options

“After receiving their letter of admission, students will be welcomed by the teachers and the director”announces Manuel Roussel who has planned two options: a visit to the premises for the day (at 28.50 euros) or, in addition, participation in the banquet with sound and light show and, of course, the traditional distribution in the one of the four houses (for 99.50 euros).

Ticket sales will open at the beginning of September on the castle website. The public is already there. “I could have already sold all the tickets, it’s madness”enthuses the owner.
