Yu-Gi-Oh: Kazuki Takahashi unfortunately joins the Kingdom of Shadows

License Yu-Gi-Oh has been around since 1996 and today it is a sad news that we learn for the fans of the famous game of duels of monsters since its creator Kazuki Takahashi died at the age of 60 following a tragic accident

Yu-Gi-Oh!, a license that goes from manga to anime to cards

Basically, the Yu-Gi-Oh license was a manga series created by Kazuki Takahashi which was published in the Weekly Shōnen Jump between 1996 and 2004. In the latter, he uses one of his trips to Egypt as a source of inspiration. This is also why Yami (or Yami Yugi) is the representation of the Pharaoh and why in the Duel Monsters saga, you can discover the cards of the Egyptian gods (Obelisk the Tormentor, The Winged Dragon of Ra and Slifer, the Sky Dragon).

You should also know that Yu-Gi-Oh became a real franchise afterwards since we had the right to anime whose broadcast continues with various universes. But the principle remains the same, that of feeling the map to reduce your opponent’s LP (Life Points) to zero. A concept that has allowed the license to become a real playing and collectible card game in which you will find cards of several types. However, what you may not know is that you have to wait for the eighth volume of the manga to actually have the duels at the center of the story.

After this aside, let’s come back to the subject who is its creator since this one didn’t only take care of Yu-Gi-Oh until the final fight between Yami and Yugi. Indeed, he also supervised or participated in the creation of other adventures such as the animated series Yu-Gi-Oh GX or Yu-Gi-OH Zexal. In the end, what we can remember is that he will have been present to allow his license to continue through the ages. No doubt some fans will pay tribute to him and others would surely like to be able to use their cards Monster Reincarnation or Soul Resurrection in order to help him.
