Among the treasure of the best Netflix series are Ragnaroka drama series that is currently gearing up for its third season.

Netflix has confirmed that a new season of Ragnarok received the green light, but also shared the sad news that this will be the third and final season of the hit show. Don’t get too downcast, we’ve got all the details you need regarding the Ragnarok Season 3 release date, plot details, casting announcements and more.

Ragnarokwhich premiered in 2020, is a modern reimagining of Norse mythology, set in the fictional Norwegian town of Edda, a town that suffers from climate change and industrial pollution. The teenage protagonist, Magne (David Stakston), defies those responsible for the crisis the city is going through, and his mission is made easier by the fact that he’s the reincarnation of Thor (no, that’s not related to the MCU).

Ragnarok season 3 release date

As of now, there is still no official release date for the ragnarok season 3but we believe it will land sometime in the second half of 2022. Historically, Season 1 arrived on Netflix on January 31, 2020, and Season 2 on May 27, 2021, indicating an annual release.

Each season of Ragnarok is also quite short, with only six episodes each, which means that the production is not as heavy as series that have longer seasons. If they move fast, we should see Ragnarok end this year.

Is there a trailer for Ragnarok season 3?

Unfortunately, there is not yet trailer for the Ragnarok season 3. With production ongoing, and no news of when filming will wrap at this time, we may have to wait a while before we get a trailer.

But if our hypothesis of a date of release end of 2022 is accurate, it’s more than likely that a trailer will be released within the next two months.

ragnarok season 3

No official plot details have been released for the ragnarok season 3 at this point, but given that this is the final season and Ragnarok basically means a great battle leading to the death of many gods, we expect some pretty conclusive action to be on the way.

The lines between good and evil have certainly blurred in the ragnarok season 2, with Laurits taking an interest in the dark side (which makes sense, considering he’s the modern-day version of Loki, the god of mischief). Likewise, Saxa apparently pledged allegiance to Magne rather than Jutul, after changing her mind in the Season 2 finale.

In this finale, Laurits, who felt betrayed by Magne, released the Jörmungandr, which is essentially a World Serpent that kills Thor. With the Jutul’s evil family, Laurits, and now his deadly new pet to contend with, Magne will certainly have his hands full in Season 3.

Fortunately, he will be able to count on the help of a large number of other gods who were introduced to us in season 2, and it is not over if we rely on Norse mythology.

Who will be in Ragnarok Season 3?

It is very likely that all the main actors who were present at the end of season 2 will return for the ragnarok season 3. Obviously, key characters Magne and his half-brother Laurits (Jonas Strand Gravli) will be back for the season finale.

We also expect the new allies Magne found in Season 2 to return for more action, with the gods Iman (Danu Sunth), Wotan (Bjørn Sundquist) and Harry (Benjamin Helstad) all set to join. in the big fight. And it looks like they’ll be joined by Saxa (Theresa Frostad Eggesbø), who sided with Magne in the Season 2 finale.

And, of course, it wouldn’t be Ragnarok without the evil Jutul family. The apocalypse giants will be without their leader, Vidar (Gísli Örn Garðarsson), who met an untimely end in season 2. But Fjor (Herman Tømmeraas) and Ran (Synnøve Macody Lund) have enough trouble in their bones to compensate.

It remains to be seen what new characters will be introduced in the third and final season of Ragnarokbut given the breadth of Norse mythology, we’re sure there are a few other gods waiting to make their mark.

That’s all we know about the ragnarok season 3 at this point, but we expect updates to come in droves until the end of year 2022, then we will keep you posted. In the meantime, why not update yourself with more teen dramas in our date guide? Euphoria season 3 release.
