Nearly thirty years after the call to God of our late president, what is the conclusion? Of all the teams that have succeeded each other in power, which one has had a convincing, significant impact on the future of this nation? Who is the President of the Republic who has most embodied the vision and work of President Houphouët-Boigny? Without hesitation and with objectivity, we will answer: Alassane Ouattara who projects himself in the eyes of Ivorians as the political reincarnation of President Houphouët-Boigny.
Yes Alassane Ouattara is Houphouët-Boigny reincarnated and downloaded. Coming from the same political DNA, they share the same values and the same vision. Namely that the purpose of all political power is to ensure the well-being of human beings.
Look, like President Houphouët-Boigny, President Alassane Ouattara’s policy has always been inspired by this ardent desire to unite, to strengthen national unity, to break down all sociological barriers likely to undermine social cohesion and harmony. national. As much as President Houphouët-Boigny was keen on national unity as the apple of his eye, President Alassane Ouattara will make living together a real priesthood, a political program, which he will endeavor to communicate and share all his compatriots.
Remember in Accra, during the discussions on the Ivorian crisis, it was President Alassane Ouattara who, suffering from seeing the children of Houphouët-Boigny divided, called on President Bédié to ask him, as the eldest of the family of Houphouetists to reunite all the scattered children of the founding father. It was the beginning of the adventure of the RHDP which enabled the Houphouetists to regain state power and consolidate peace.
An act that recalls 40 years ago, what President Houphouët-Boigny achieved, by obtaining the merger of all the parties that existed before independence in the PDCI to jointly launch the development of the country, just like President Alassane Ouattara does it today with the RHDP.
Like President Houphouët-Boigny, the obstinate search for peace, dialogue, tolerance, forgiveness of offenses are at the heart of President Alassane Ouattara’s priorities and political approach. Political dialogue with the opposition and civil society, social dialogue with trade unions and all social actors to build and consolidate social peace.
I do not forget to mention the measures of amnesty, presidential pardon, facilitation of the return to the country of several political actors judged and condemned by justice. All this in the name of peace, because for peace there are no sacrifices too great. Personally President Alassane Ouattara suffered a lot of frustrations, wickedness, attacks, betrayals but God always gave him the strength to forgive his executioners.
