Pierre Kechkéguian, the director of the Auxerre theater, is eager to unveil the stage program for the 2022-2023 season. Three headliners, one of which is already in presale, have been announced: the Nigerian international troupe QDance company, André Manoukian and Zabou Breitman.

The rhythm of Afrobeat will liven up the hall of the Auxerre theater on October 7th. The international dance troupe of the Qdance company, by Nigerian choreographer Qudus Onikeku, will present “a collective piece to show the depth of black culture, its joy, pure and uncompromising”. “We want to show that contemporary dance can be accessible to everyone, to connoisseurs as well as to a wider audience, describes Pierre Kechkéguian. We liked the return to life offered by this troupe, a kind of reincarnation and return to essential things “.

André Manoukian presents a show inspired by Serge Gainsbourg’s link with the piano, in a “piano bar, cozy, elegant and sensual” atmosphere. For this, he surrounds himself with three female artists: Elodie Frégé, Déborah Leclercq and Rose Marie Standley. A show in partnership with Silex.

Zabou Breitman pays tribute to Dorothy Parker. The author, critic, screenwriter and dialogue writer lived in the heart of New York during the Roaring Twenties. The actress and director of the film Remember beautiful things tells of a “free, extravagant and desperate” woman. Zabou Breitman will also be the guest of the Cercle Condorcet on November 18 to discuss the life of Dorothy Parker on the theme “private life, public life”.
