Fans saw how Ost Horai “died” passing out and how Kyo Ethnina fled with the souls of Spirit Tortoise. Now the big question is, “Will Naofumi and his team ever achieve victory?”
Despite the bad vibes of the most recent episodes, remember there’s still hope: Naofumi, L’Arc, Glass and Therese are still – and will be – on the hunt for the rotten, evil Vassal Book Wielder even if it takes to other worlds!

Naofumi and the new L’Arc team will defeat Kyo in the series. But the crew must travel to different worlds, gain new allies, strengthen their abilities, and use class magic to defeat the vassal Book Wielder who has cheated death multiple times.
Shield Hero fans know what happens at the mention of the phrase “different worlds.” Not only has Kyo Ethnina returned to his homeland (or “homeworld” in this case); instead, Kyo opened inter-dimensional portals to separate the group from Naofumi!
How weird does an interdimensional portal travel? Not weird at all in the case of Naofumi and her crew!
What is the New World Arc?
The “New World Arc” is coming to the anime soon. It is an insert to the light novel since it does not exist in the web novel of the series.
The New World Arc is also the arc where Kyo Ethnina finally tasted defeat against Naofumi’s crew; hence, again preventing his reincarnation in Glass’ World!

If Kinema Citrus Studios and DR Movie adapt the light novel successfully, fans will travel to the beautiful worlds that the Shield Hero characters will explore one by one: endless mazes, circuses, site of a dragon’s hourglass, world of Raphtalia, abandoned dungeons and laboratories!!
Think of the “New World Arc” this way: the anime studio will adapt mental battles and excellent combat sequences between characters in these different locations.
For Naofumi and Rishia, the dungeon will be where they wake up after discovering that their stat levels have reset.
The Infinite Labyrinth will seek the help of a new ally from Glass’ World (Kizuna – the “Legendary Hunting Tool Hero”) so that Naofumi and Rishia can escape the terrible labyrinth.
And finally, the circus will be the site of a mini-arc where the gang rescue Filo from a circus – a place where she experienced humiliation and a “monstrous” transformation!
Overall, the New World Arc will bring exciting adventures, mental battles, and different people to our heroes!
How is Kyo Ethnina defeated?
Kyo Ethnina – the notorious Vassal Book Wielder – tasted defeat when Naofumi used Sacrifice class magic. It might not be the only way to defeat an enemy, but it’s the best class magic Naofumi can activate to destroy his selfish opponent!
Naofumi battled Kyo, his human experiments, and the copies of Guardian Beast in the lab amid magical mists. Despite intense combat, our valiant heroes of Glass’ Worlds have been teleported to multiple interdimensional portals!
Before losing hope again, Naofumi activated her Sacrifice Class Magic to boost her and everyone else’s Power stats. And at the height of the battle, they destroyed Kyo’s soul; thus, preventing his rampage from harming other worlds.
I may have only given you a glimpse of the series, but what’s to come in the anime will exceed your expectations! So brace yourself and enjoy more of the heroic adventures of Naofumi, L’Arc, Glass, Therese and Kizuna in Season 2 of this wonderful anime adaptation!
