“We are at a time when it is really important and fundamental to live together in the acceptance of cultural and religious diversity. The Wisdom of Silence that we offer is simply a universal remedy. It allows us to connect to our pure inner silence while respecting each other. The union of the four overseas departments: Reunion, Guadeloupe, Martinique and Guyana, is a perfect example. It is these overseas departments that have created the Aroura Center in France with harmony and peace”.

The Mandala of Light Ceremony will take place over two days, June 18 and 19, in the presence of Ford Karchen Euser. The first part will be private. The Mandala will be created. It is made up of colored grains of rice and 324 small night lights arranged in a particular design: 4 petals (white, yellow, red, green) around a unified blue centre. These 4 petals symbolize the Air, Earth, Fire and Wood elements united around a blue heart, water element. Each petal symbolizes wisdom while representing an ultramarine region. Guyana will be represented in green: all-fulfilling wisdom.

Performing a mandala is a sacred act in the Buddhist tradition because it evokes in different aspects, teachings and traditions. Once completed, it serves as a meditation medium and is usually destroyed fairly quickly. Through this, the positive energies contained within spread.

Mandala means “circle” in Sanskrit. Even though it may offer other geometric elements, it is still organized around a center. The mandala is a support for meditation and harmonization. It is a symbolic representation of cosmic harmony and the impermanence of things.

From 3 p.m. on Saturday June 18, this Mandala will be accessible to all. On Sunday it will be dissolved when the last candle goes out.
