Pink October in the Eure. Wellness events to support women with cancer

The operation Pink October returns from October 1-30. On the occasion of this 29th edition, actions are implemented throughout France to raise funds for the fight against cancer. Sophrologist, psycho-energetician and well-being sports coach based in Pont-de-l’Arche (Eure), Aurelie Cormier is a member of the well-being association in Normandy.

Kits of aloe vera products

Like every year, it mobilizes to bring its stone to the building. It organizes various events to finance the purchase of “well-being kits” intended for women affected by cancer. “The goal is to offer well-being kits of three aloe vera-based products to sick women,” she explains. For two years, we have been associated with the League and the Becquerel hospital in Rouen. There are many women who come out of treatment and who have healing or mucous membrane problems. These products help to heal and relieve pain. »

Well-being days and evenings

Despite the health crisis, 150 kits were offered in 2021 as part of Pink October. This year, the goal is to take advantage of the lifting of restrictions to meet the public and educate as many people as possible in the fight against cancer. “We organize events in the form of wellness days or evenings. All profits will be used to finance the purchase of these kits for sick people. »

Six events in the Eure

Six events organized in partnership with the League against Cancer are on the program, including one at the Aum Chalet in Pont-de-l’Arche, on Friday October 14, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. “For three hours, those registered will be able to benefit from four activities offered by the therapists present. “. Participants can choose between a session of massage, hypnosis, energy care, naturopathy, sensory and body meditation, sophrology, plantar reflexology and PBA (Psycho Bio Acupressure).

“As women, we are all concerned”

“The fight against cancer is a cause close to my heart,” continues Aurélie Cormier. As women, we are all affected. The objective of this operation is to offer sick people products that will be useful to them on a daily basis. Five other actions are scheduled for Saturday October 1 in Conches-en-Ouches, Friday October 7 in Rouen, Sunday October 9 in Nonancourt and Sunday October 23 in Evreux.
