Michael B. Jordan Tackles Directing While Starring in Creed III E! News UK

As the star and (first-time!) director of “Creed III,” Michael B. Jordan faced perhaps the BIGGEST fight of his life.

Adonis Collides With Someone From His Past In ‘CREED III’ Trailer

Pardon the fight pun, we couldn’t resist! We are so excited that the ‘Creed III’ trailer is finally here.

Here’s a synopsis of the latest installment in the hit franchise:

After dominating the boxing world, Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) has thrived in both his career and his family life. When childhood friend and former boxing prodigy Damian (Jonathan Majors) resurfaces after serving a lengthy prison sentence, he’s eager to prove he deserves his chance in the ring. The showdown between old friends is more than just a fight. To settle the score, Adonis must put his future on the line to fight Damian, a fighter with nothing to lose.

Check it out below:

Did you notice that one of our All-American favorites, Spence Moore II plays young Damian? The actor who plays a young Adonis, Thaddeus J. Mixson plays one of the children on “Reasonable doubt.”

We’re also thrilled because Dreamville is making the soundtrack for “Creed III.” Which artists do you think will deliver the best songs for the film?

“Creed III” is the third installment in the hit franchise and is Michael B. Jordan’s directorial debut. BOSSIP was there for a press conference with Michael B. Jordan on Monday and we asked him what he had done to mentally and emotionally prepare for this new challenge.

“[I was] Hold for dear life! Jordan told BOSSIP. “No, that was, uh, I feel like coming out of lockdown, quarantine, you know, that’s where a lot of that pre-production and prep was happening.”

“So there was a lot going on in the world and, you know, that was my escape, a lot of times I was diving into that world and creating that story. Mentally for me, there was nothing I could do to prepare for this. Everything I thought I was doing was not enough. So meditation: very useful. You know, I think meditation was really important to me. Just talking to a lot of directors who have been through this before really gave me as close an idea as possible of what the experiences were going to be, without going through it myself. So I relied on those conversations and those tips.

“I just finished working with Denzel, you know, right before this project. So I had that wisdom, you know, and the support that was there. So it helped me a lot during the preparation. So I think mentally for myself, just taking one day at a time, but at the same time always planning, you know, 10 steps forward.

“So it was, whatever you can do in the moment to feel better, you know what I mean? And help you cope and also prepare for the day and weeks ahead. That’s what you must do.

It definitely seems like a difficult process, but we’re so excited to see the final product. Kudos to Michael B. Jordan for working hard to develop his skills. He has such a bright future ahead of him. We are super proud of him for everything he has done in front of and behind the cameras. This man is all about fairness and inclusivity in all its forms. He had an ASL interpreter doing sign language at the press conference.
