The welcome was warm on Tuesday and the emotions intense at the Le Club cinema in Fougères, after the broadcast of wild connection, Vincent Rannou’s first film.
This passionate photographer invites the public to a wild immersion in nature. The heart of Brittany is rich in biodiversity and a multitude of natural environments conducive to naturalist observation. Landes, groves, forests, wetlands and meadows are all playgrounds for those who take the time to stop there. And this quality, Vincent Rannou was able to experience it during his long hides to hope for a hypothetical meeting which very often did not take place. This is the philosophy of waiting… The calm of the woods and the dialogue of the animals invite contemplative meditation.

The session continued with numerous exchanges between the director from Fougere and the public. His work colleagues present in the room were able to discover his talent in a different way.
Indeed, Vincent Rannou is not only “an image hunter”. He has also held the position of production manager in the joinery company Atlante M, in Saint-Sauveur-des-Landes, for three years. With 80 people under his control, he nevertheless finds the energy and the time to devote himself to his passion, nature and wildlife photography, in his free time.
Very attached to his professional environment conducive to his development, he finds real support there. “Atlante M has real human values. » He finds within the company “a participative management that does not put pressure and [lui] enables a perfect professional and personal balance. »
He made this documentary after four years of location scouting and numerous shots in the heart of Morbihan, “thanks to a lot of tenacity, motivation and patience”.
Improvising himself as a filmmaker in such a short time required him considerable mental strength and a rapid learning of audiovisual techniques. Despite everything, Vincent Rannou did not want “regret nothing and give everything for the success of his project: share his passion for nature and beautiful images with as many people as possible”.
Never satisfied, Vincent Rannou challenges himself to make a feature film, scheduled for 2025, with even more wildlife and beautiful landscapes.
