The sports association of Chanteloup-en-Brie (CSA) unveils its new activities brochure. After a year 2021/2022 where the association saw karate take its independence and where it must separate from the tennis activity, the office struggled to offer new sports to its members.

“Last year was a bit chaotic. We redid our statutes, reviewed our rules of procedure. These two departures are part of the life of the associations. They depend on federations and the organization is complicated with the association. We keep the leisure activities, ”explains Agnès Arnaud, who became president last October.

Children’s yoga, meditation, badminton

On the menu of novelties this year, there are therefore workshops of mediationoffered every wednesdays between 12 and 1 p.m. for all ages and all levels. “It complements our offer well, in addition to yoga classes. This year we are also opening yoga classes for children during school holidays in the form of workshops. This allows you to try; depending on the age of the children, one lesson per week can be a bit dense,” she continues.

Another novelty for the start of the 2022 school year: the badminton. The association has purchased all the necessary equipment. “We had organized courses in April which had been a great success. So we opened the activity all year round and we will reorganize one-off courses, ”adds Agnès Arnaud. Again, classes are open for all ages but the schedule is yet to be defined. “It would be Sunday or Monday. We will see with the registrants”.

A free group to run together

Three new activities which are thus added to the 10 activities already proposed by the CSA. “Last year’s novelty, cardio training, worked very well. Nordic walking is also on the rise”, observes the president.

For some time now, the association has also opened a band WhatsApp to bring racing fans together. “It’s free to access. The idea was to offer a solution to those who don’t want to run alone. »

With nearly 300 members, the ASC is doing well and expects a good year: “After the Covid years, we want well-being, hence the novelties and to play sports outdoors. In total, we offer 30 hours of activity per week,” she concludes.
