CBD, a real ally in the fight against stress

The influence of stress on our body

Stress is a reaction of our organism in the presence of stimuli which can be physical or mental. These stimuli provoke in us a mobilization of energy in order to defend ourselves, and by force, the body and the mind are exhausted. We have all had a time when stress overwhelms us. To counter it, various methods exist, such as sport, breathing exercises, meditation and more. That said, we don’t always have the time to set up these activities. What to do then? Consume CBD. Indeed, several studies demonstrated that CBD can reduce the perception of anxiety and stress.

Real anti-stress ally

When we are stressed, our muscles contract, which increases our blood pressure and heart rate. All of this explains why people with chronic muscle tension are often in a permanent state of stress. To remedy this, the use of CBD is highly recommended. This substance has a relaxing effect on the muscles, and therefore on blood pressure and heart rate.

Moreover, if stress and anxiety are states in which we are more receptive to sensory and auditory stimuli, CBD can lessen this overflow of receptivity. It does this by decreasing the body’s sensitivity to sensory and auditory input by reducing the release of certain hormones like cortisol and adrenaline.

Highly effective natural painkiller

CBD also acts on the activity of the limbic system, that is, the region of the brain that is responsible for chronic suffering. In other words, cannabidiol acts directly on the brain, reducing the sensation of pain. Indeed, it is found that CBD has an analgesic effect.

Studies have shown that CBD acts directly on CB1 receptors, and in particular on synapses, that is to say on the connections between neurons. CBD therefore represents an alternative to other drugs that act on the body’s endocannabinoid system. Thus, this substance is a real alternative to painkillers based on opiates. Moreover, the latter are in particular derivatives of morphine, which act on the center of physical suffering. CBD works in the same way and therefore has a tranquilizing effect on chronic pain, but also on more acute pain and anxiety attacks.

Take CBD to stay calm and serene

CBD can also act on melatonin, the sleep hormone. The latter is produced by our body around midnight and its rate begins to drop at daybreak. Thus, if you cannot sleep well because of a stressful daily life, CBD acts effectively on melatonin in order to stop the whole mechanism that stresses the body. Thus, cannabidiol promotes sleep. The quality of the latter makes it possible to evacuate stress, and thus, to find calm and serenity.

Taking CBD Daily to Combat Anxiety

CBD also acts on the limbic system, a group of brain structures involved in behavior and stress. You should know that this region of the brain is linked to emotions. However, taking CBD regularly can help control negative emotions, such as anxiety, stress or depression. To do this, it is advisable to take CBD at times of the day when you feel said negative emotions. Be careful though: CBD is not a medicine. It is therefore necessary to pay attention to the dose indicated on the packaging so as not to exceed the quantities at each intake. If the dose is not respected, it can cause the opposite effect, namely an anxiogenic effect.
