“I want to do this carousel”, a dozen children had the same reaction while passing in front of the babybobthe mythical attraction of the Procé park in Nantes. Brand new, the yellow track with its small carts attracts the attention of all toddlers.
After the April holidays, some Nantes residents were worried about the barriers surrounding the site. No, the Babybob is not permanently closed, works to renovate the track and have new bobsleighs have given a second life to this Nantes institution created in 1988. A beauty that delights children and parents.

Since 2019, the Babybob has been managed by the teams of the Manoir de Procé restaurant. If the gaze of the children sparkles, that of the parents is also borrowed from nostalgia“you know I used to go there when I was your age”, a mother tells her daughter.
The track, now completely yellow and more wooden, is having an effect with some parents: “Everything is redone, it’s classy, it’s hot,” smiles a mother. In total, eight bobsleds are available for children aged 2 to 12 years old and measuring no more than 1m40.

Laughs and big smiles
Once the token has been deposited in the urn, the adventure begins. First step, get the bobsleigh on the hill with the help of an adult, and then it’s the start thrills. “The descent lasts about 10 seconds,” says the person in charge of the attraction met on site.

In the machines, the children laugh and smile to the delight of the parents and grandparents present with them. Along the bends, laughter is more communicative and happiness can easily be read on the faces of the adventurers of the day. “It was too good, it was going fast, there was wind in my hair,” says Charlie with a smile, a few seconds after his descent. On vacation in Nantes, the little girl became “addicted” to the Babybob according to her grandmother.
35 years after its opening, the Babybob at Parc de Procé continues to delight the little ones while bringing parents and grandparents back to childhood.
