Fez-Meknes: the CRI adopts its three-year plan 2023-2025

The Fez-Meknes Regional Investment Center (CRI) held its eighth board meeting devoted to the adoption of the new three-year strategic plan 2023-2025 and the presentation of the results of its first action plan.

The Regional Investment Center (CRI) Fez-Meknes unveils its new strategic plan for the period 2023-2025. This is what emerges from its eighth board meeting held at the headquarters of the wilaya of Fez-Meknes. This Council, which falls within the framework of Law 47-18 on the reform of the CRIs and the creation of the Unified Regional Investment Commissions, was mainly devoted to the presentation of the said plan and the provisional budget for 2023.

Driven by a participatory and integrated approach with all the ministerial departments and regional actors concerned, this new strategic plan is based on five strategic pillars: the promotion of productive investment and the orientation of investments towards sectors that the region ; the promotion and development of private investments, including those of the Moroccan community abroad; the strengthening of support and supervision mechanisms for young project leaders; facilitating the act of investing through simplification and digitization; and finally, the professionalization of mediation and conciliation for the amicable settlement of disputes.

Positive results of the first action plan
During this meeting, Essaïd Zniber, wali of the Region and governor of the prefecture of Fez, reaffirmed the central role of the CRI in the revival of the regional economy and the implementation of the State policy in terms of ‘investment. In this sense, it is consistent with the orientations of the last royal speech delivered on the occasion of the return to parliament.

According to Zniber, “The Sovereign has placed investment at the heart of the priorities for the revival of the Kingdom’s economy, relying, in particular, on productive investment in promising sectors, the new investment charter, strengthening the role of CRIs in the investment process, strengthening the private sector, simplifying and digitizing procedures, attracting foreign direct investment and MREs as well as facilitating access to financing for VSMEs “.

For his part, Yassine Tazi, director of the CRI, underlined the positive results of the Centre’s first action plan which placed the customer at the heart of its strategy, resulting in a notable improvement, both qualitative and quantitative, of main indicators of regional investment. For him, “the adoption of the new three-year strategic plan 2023-2025, which is in line with the High Royal Guidelines, consolidates the commitment of the CRI in the dynamics of economic recovery, focused on the customer”.

At the end of this meeting, the members of the Board of Directors unanimously approved all the resolutions presented, and congratulated the CRI Fez-Meknes for the quality of its ambitious action plan which aims to ensure the revival of investment on the scale of the Region, as a facilitator of the act of investing with investors and VSMEs.
