Europa Park, Walygator, Fraispertuis-city: the new features to remember for this 2022 season

Europa Park, Walygator, Fraispertuis-city… The months of March and April mark the reopening of amusement parks in the Grand Est.

On this occasion, we have concocted a small selection of new products to come for this 2022 season.

Europa Park: a new themed district and a new roller coaster…

During a press conference last week, Europa Park detailed many new features. Here are a few.

The one who was designated in 2021 the best leisure park in the world notably announced the upcoming construction of a new district on the theme of Croatia. It will include a coaster “comparable to the Silver Star” which promises to be “very long”, according to Michael Mack, one of the park’s associate managers.

… novelties in the Austrian quarter and Rulantica

For this 2022 season, Europa-Park is offering several new features in the Austrian district. Among them, the family attraction “Josefina and her magical journey” promises a boat trip on the lake to discover water games and a secret garden. It therefore replaces the Jungle Rafts attraction.

On the side of Rulantica, the aquatic universe of Europa Park, the latter announces several new features, including “slides for children, a Nordic sand beach and a unique aquatic carousel […] “.

Walygator: the return of an attraction

In Maizières-lès-Metz (Moselle), the park Walygator which is still looking for around thirty seasonal workers, will soon welcome its visitors.

For this new season, Laurent Muller, the park manager contacted by Lorraine Newsannounces “a new show by magician Tim Silver” but also the reinstallation and enhancement of the “galloping horses” attraction.

Several other activities should also punctuate the year 2022: an egg hunt in April, the Westerns Days in July or even beaches in August. But Laurent Muller promises “a few surprises that will brighten up the season as it goes along”.

New riding school in Fraispertuis-City

As for Fraispertuis-City, a park located in Jeanménil in the Vosges, the 2022 season will be without one of the flagship attractions: the Bumpers.

After 26 years of good and loyal service, the merry-go-round has been replaced by the great novelty of this new edition: the Draisines.

According to the park, it is an “interactive carousel of the Sidecar type in XL version, unique in France, which can accommodate 24 people simultaneously. »

Reopening date: Saturday April 9, 2022.
