The first edition of the Tanabata Matsuri is a newcomer to the landscape of Japanese culture events.
It will stand out by combining in the same place the popular Japanese festival (matsuri) of Tanabata and an introduction to Japanese cinema, often misunderstood. This project is led by the Ciotanoshii association in collaboration with Les Lumières de l’Éden.

Carried out by this small association with members and friends who are all volunteers, these activities are led by enthusiasts who take pleasure in introducing Japanese culture.

In the program :
Japanese-style funfair with bouncing ball fishing, balloon fishing and ancient Japanese games

Culture corner with introduction to shogi (your first name in Japanese)

Food and sweets with Japanese-style shaved ice, sweet and savory taiyaki, Japanese drinks, sale of sweets and frozen mochi

Tanabata experience with Japanese divination, writing wishes in Japanese on tanzaku, photo space

Japanese cinema with four film screenings including a gourmet cinema
