I am Véronique Bogdanoff, I have been doing sophrology for 15 years. After a Parisian career in mobile telephony, I converted to sophrology which I discovered during the pregnancy of my second child. And I wanted to make it my job, with the aim, at the start, of offering sophrology in the business world. Then life decided that I would also work with children in schools, seniors…

If you had to define sophrology…

It is the relaxation of the body, a discipline that aims to bring body and mind together in harmony for everyday life. The mind will have an influence on the body and the body on the mind, we work on a positive and gentle visualization. All this leads to emotional deadening, helps to reduce stress, serves for public speaking. It is a whole favorable process in our daily life.

Yes, I explain in a rather modest way how, as a child, I made the decision to take advantage of what was complicated. Because there are wonderful things but life is not always easy. So I saw a shrink, discovered sophrology and speaking in public was a huge awakening for me. I had been maturing this book for a long time, and during the second confinement, I wanted to share that it was possible to get out of everything and that you cannot let yourself be swallowed up by life. And if you take the time to explore yourself, you can access thousands of riches. For example, I like to write since the age of 15, I wrote besides to my brothers who encouraged me… And one day, it was obvious, it fell like that and for 8 months, I wrote, I met my editor, everything happened! If someone had told me that 10 years ago… Ditto for painting. My father studied Fine Arts, my mother painted naive art, I cried in front of the canvas and the perspectives. Then, one day, I started painting angels. I have this enthusiasm. The message is therefore: “Go ahead because the treasures, you have them too”. On the other hand, there are thousands of layers to be cleaned in us, I did the job. Take the time to come and reclaim yourself.

In your book, you talk about breaking free from “family conditioning”, what does that mean to you?

Free myself from belonging. Everyone goes through their destiny, their life. Me, I am the 6th of an already established sibling. During childhood, I had happy and painful moments of life. I had to come to terms with everything that was painful and chaotic growing up.
